I have been in private practice for several decades and continue to love doing this work.

Catrinka has trained extensively in The Trager® Approach, Cranial Touch, and Trauma Resolution & Resourcing. She completed a 1,000 hour training program in Advanced Professional Bodywork with the ReSource School of Massage in 2003. Catrinka has been in private practice for several decades and has been a Trager® Tutor.

The Trager® Approach was developed and refined for over 50 years by Milton Trager, MD.

Based on the conviction that physical change follows a change of mind, Dr. Trager developed a unique and highly effective method that skillfully reaches the nervous system by addressing the body in singular ways.

Dr. Milton Trager recognized well before contemporary knowledge on neuroplasticity that new information introduced to areas in the unconscious mind, gently and with skill, activates positive neurological changes which improve movement patterns. He referred to his work as psychophysical integration.

Trager® Approach Practitioners work in a calm, cultivated, meditative state, what Dr. Trager called "hook-up." Using the language of touch and movement they promote sensory awareness and ease of movement. Trager® sessions include gentle bouncing, stroking, elongations and a variety of playful body movements received in a calming, pleasurable atmosphere. Cumulative in nature, this work promotes ease, physical mobility, and a renewed lasting awareness of agelessness.

A mental, emotional and physical education, Trager® sends clients into the world with the physical efficiency and coordination that leads to effortless movement. Milton Trager called this feeling a place beyond relaxation, a place of peace.

Gentle, hands-on touch enhances the functioning of the craniosacral system which orchestrates the subtle movements of the bones, organs, and tissues. Responding to a soft touch and deep listening, restrictions in the craniosacral system often release and contracted energies expand and rejoin the whole.

Gentle, hands-on touch enhances the functioning of the craniosacral system, comprised of the membranes and cerebrospinal fluids that surround and protect the brain and spinal cord. The cranial rhythm continually directs motion throughout the cerebrospinal fluids, and orchestrates the subtle movements of the bones, organs, and tissues of your body.

Practitioner and client abide together in a deep quiet. Responding to a soft touch and deep listening, restrictions in the craniosacral system often release and contracted energies expand and rejoin the whole.

Cranial Touch is a natural process that heals from within, out of your own potent healing forces.

Capacity for balanced self-regulation can be reestablished and healthy homeostasis restored over time by resourcing kidneys adrenals, digestive system, brain stem and cranial membranes, and learning to identify and regulate sympathetic and para-sympathetic ANS responses.

When traumatic stress experiences occur, initial coping strategies can eventually habituate into everyday responses, with trauma as their primary organizing impulse.

Over time, kidneys adrenals, digestive and autonomic nervous system functions can become compromised due to an over vigilant response to perceived threats to the system. Resolution of Trauma work resources kidneys adrenals, digestive system, brain stem, cranial membranes, and awareness of autonomic nervous system function. By supporting these resourced states and learning to identify and regulate sympathetic and para-sympathetic responses, the capacity for balanced self-regulation can be reestablished and healthy homeostasis restored.
