A Message from Eileen Dickinson

Written by Eileen Dickinson

It’s been a while since I participated in, or taught an in-person class. How about you? Are you yearning to be immersed in our community of “touchers, feelers and movers”? A wonderful opportunity awaits you.

ANATOMY I and II

December 10-12, 2021 and March 4-6, 2022 in Silver Spring, MD

To register contact Elissa Webber workshops@PMTI.org

This class is for all students and practitioners curious about why Trager® principles and practices are so powerful. I will share up-to-date and relevant science with you in a simple and concrete way, and you will discover why Trager presence, touch and movement are so transformative!

We will explore information about our amazing bodyminds that goes beyond muscle origins, insertions, and bones. We will broaden our perspective to include biotensegrity. Along the way we will cover anatomical precautions, and any other information that seems pertinent to the class.

This training is for you whether or not you already feel proficient in anatomy, because it is presented from a new angle. I distill and synthesize complex information into understandable and digestible nuggets for you. The delight I find in presenting information from many sources (including from my career in Physical Therapy) makes the learning experience easy.

Some of the topics I’ll cover have been introduced within Tragerology, an online community of learners. When you become a member of Tragerology you have access to these recordings. If you are already a member of Tragerology, this in-person class will include new information, as well as the opportunity for you to integrate and apply what you’ve learned to your hands-on work.

You will leave class with inspiration and motivation for further discovery on your own, and with some new vocabulary for talking about our work. What could be more wonderful?

I crave being present “off-Zoom” and in the same room with like-minded folks who dream of touching, being touched, and moving in community. And being with those who are thirsty for more of the science that supports our work feeds my soul. One thing I know is that being in a group is an amplifier of hook-up!

I look forward to connecting with you in person in December, or on Tragerology.

Until then,

Eileen
