Archive Video Team Acknowledgement

Dear Trager member,

Have you given yourself the gift of watching the video of Milton giving a demo on Betty Fuller? If not, please allow this to be your reminder to make the time. As you watch, what responses, insights, deepening of feeling, and inspiration arise in you?

What is it worth to you to be able to view Milton’s teachings? Having access to the films made when he was alive and hearing his words, watching his body, seeing his hands, and witnessing the miraculous effects on the person receiving, required countless volunteer hours and devotion.

This Sunday morning it was my privilege to attend the Archive Video Monthly meeting. I’d like to be the bridge to Trager members for all of us to pause and be in appreciation for what was given so freely and lovingly so that we may view our beloved mentor, Milton.

To begin with, Ilene Watrous had to view many hours of footage to screen and decide on which demo will serve the most practitioners. Once that was chosen, she viewed over and over, each section, writing Milton’s words out by hand (her choice) and triple-checking to make sure the words were written exactly as he spoke them. How many hours of concentration did that require? From the written transcription a dedicated team from various countries diligently translated. Paul Overy’s and Lia Goldberg’s sharing of the Canadian French and the Parisian French back and forth expressed the joy from the “stick to it ness” in their accomplishment. Joyce Nuttall’s learning curve with discovering the apps and software which would let her add the subtitles onto the video was inspiring. Her love for learning new ways came through, and my awareness increased around the amazing team participation. All of this was made possible through donated volunteer hours.

Another person who contributed much more than he invoiced the project for is Fernando Rojas. He skillfully edited the original video, worked with Joyce to upload the subtitles, and responded to many emails of technical details.

The project to create the subtitles has been a huge volunteer effort by Ilene Watrous (USTA), Joyce Nuttall (USTA), Paul Overy (Trager Canada), Lia Goldberg (Trager France), Christian Vascotto (Associazione Trager Italia), Vanessa Florez (Trager-Verein Österreich), Meritxell Prat (Asociación Método Trager España), Mihoko Fujita (Trager Association Japan).

Here’s a visual for accessing sub-titles:

Honestly, expressing appreciation is what gives the full feedback loop. It’s the equivalent when Milton says out loud “Thank You.” We’ve reached each other’s hearts and minds and we are all better for this exchange.

Could you take a few minutes to share with those who gave from their hearts what you receive from viewing the authentic footage of Milton? The easiest is to go onto the Facebook Group page:

www.facebook.com/groups/tragerpreservationproject/

Please take the steps to be able to view this valuable video. Once you register there is a pdf to download and in it there is the Private Facebook Group link. Please click on the FB link, join the group and then you are able to post your own words of appreciation and what you gained from viewing.

Can we acknowledge that this committee, spearheaded brilliantly by Chris Bruels, has successfully delivered a valuable asset? Many of the people who have been viewing, cataloging, transcribing, and translating have been doing this for over a year now. I don’t believe it’s possible to list all the volunteer hours that have gone into this project. I also know it started with a few courageous people tracking down the VHS Videos that had been stored for decades in the homes of longtime Trager members. There’s an inspired devotion for the value of Trager to be carried into the future.

Please add your part to our active membership and express what you feel in terms of appreciation.

Thank you!
