The NETA Region just participated in promoting Trager at a huge event called the Natural Living Expo in Marlborough, MA on Nov 9&10. We were one of 275 vendors with about 10,000 people that come to shop, learn, experience different healing methods, listen to lectures and attend workshops.
We chose to take on this big event because the American Massage Therapy Association has stopped holding its once a year New England Regional Conference. It became very difficult for us to get to the separate state conferences all in the same year, and since Trager can be learned without a massage license in Massachusetts, as for now, we decided we could reach a much broader range of interest and spread Trager to a larger market!
We had wristbands that we passed out with the website address on them so that anyone who had the chance to experience Trager could look at the wrist band later on and recall the feeling of peace even in a crazy busy environment as the expo. The folks that were willing to receive a sample on the table were commenting on how much they loved their sessions! That energy fueled me as I was there for both days!
Thank you to those who traveled from all over New England to help out at the booth: Meg Agnew, Martin Anderson, Liz Berks, Cindy Popp Hager, Patience Bousel, Larry Mancini, Vanessa Alison Reed and Jenny Xie! My husband also did a fantastic job when I was by myself and needed someone to talk to folks walking by and explaining what Trager is while I gave mini sessions on the table! I look forward to hearing about what kind of momentum we all may gain from this!
