In an article published in the Physical Therapy Forum on April 10, 1992, Ilene Watrous describes the Trager Approach to physical therapists from both the therapist’s and patient’s perspectives. She tells how the patient experiences Trager as a gentle, pleasant, rhythmical rocking, whereas the therapist sees it as an augmentation for evaluation and treatment of a number of otherwise difficult-to-treat conditions. She also refers to some studies which explain how the Trager Approach can be effective.
