Dear USTA Members,

The USTA Board of Directors recently passed a new policy regarding the continuing education credit hours you must report to USTA every three years as part of your requirement to maintain your membership and Trager Certification. Details regarding this new policy are as follows:

Continuing Education Policy

Practitioners are expected to complete 24 hours of continuing education every three years. The USTA will place it in the hands of each Practitioner to make responsible choices for these CE classes. The continuing education classes could be related to movement or somatic education, private practice, or public presentation/group leadership. We encourage Practitioners to find classes that support their interests and growth.

Practitioners will keep records of their continuing education classes, and the USTA will keep records in members’ files about certain classes such as core training classes, Level 4 and 5, and electives. There will be a space on the renewal form for Practitioners to write down information about the continuing education classes they took.

Practitioners are no longer required to submit certificates they receive from classes to the USTA office as part of the renewal process. They will simply enter in the number of hours they received in the past year on the online dues renewal form.
